ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Get ready for a hot and humid stretch of weather, but keep your guard up: storms are on the way, and some could bring street flooding by Friday night.
Today will be hot and humid with only a 30% chance of storms. Most of your day should be dry, but we can’t rule out a spotty storm or two during your evening commute.
Keep an eye on the radar if you’re heading out after work or running evening errands.
This is where things get worse. Friday is a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY as storm chances increase significantly for the evening commute and dinner plans. Unlike today’s scattered storms, Friday will see much more widespread rain and thunderstorms.
Street flooding will be possible Friday evening, so avoid driving through flooded roads and stay alert to changing conditions.
Saturday stays active with a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for storms expected in the afternoon and evening. Street flooding is also possible during this time.
